About Agala

Agala provides multilingual AI customer service and sales tools for local businesses. This notice covers the Agala merchant app and the website at agala.tz. The website's current chat experience is a demonstration, not a live customer-service session.

Information processed

When you sign in with Google, Agala receives your Google account identifier, email address and basic profile information, such as your name and profile picture. Agala uses this information to authenticate you, create or identify your account, and display your profile. Agala does not request access to your Gmail messages, Google Drive files or contacts, and does not receive your Google password.

The merchant app also processes information you provide while using its features, including profile edits, contact details, business information, messages, product information and uploaded files or images. Location information is processed when you choose to share it. Service providers may process technical request information, such as IP addresses and error logs, when delivering and maintaining the service.

How information is used and processed

Account information supports sign-in, account security and profile management. Business content and messages support the features you use, such as AI responses, knowledge processing, product recognition and translation.

Google provides sign-in, Supabase provides authentication and data storage, Railway hosts the application server, and Vercel hosts the website. Depending on the feature and configured provider, submitted content can be processed by external AI, document-parsing and mapping services. These providers may process information outside Tanzania. Do not submit another person's private information unless you are entitled to do so.

Google sign-in information is used for account identification and authentication; it is not an authorization to access other Google services. Disconnecting Agala in your Google account prevents further Google authorization but does not automatically erase information already stored in Agala.

Storage and your choices

Account records and submitted content are stored to support the features you use. Chat history can be processed into stored knowledge; the visible recent-message window is not a guarantee that all older information has been erased. Signing out ends the local session and does not delete your account or business data.

You can edit supported profile fields in the app and remove content where a delete control is available. Refresh tokens are stored in the device's secure storage; account access is checked by the server.

To request access, correction or deletion of your account and associated data, contact davidlisongmiao@gmail.com from your account email. Requests are handled manually after identity verification. Any data that cannot be deleted immediately and the reason for retaining it will be explained in the response. There is currently no in-app account-deletion button.
